The Senate also approved Senate Resolution No. 5, titled "Student Housing Resolution" and also presented by Senator White. The resolution expressed Senator White's concern with the University's recent policy of converting student housing facilities into office space. The resolution was approved on a vote of 13-4.
April 10: As this was the first official SGA meeting for the 2007-2008 senate, there was no formal legislation passed. The new senate was sworn in and introduced.

Led by Junior Senator Jonathan Hanus, the budget requests were cut by about $27,000, leaving the total SOC budget at $190,000.
