Over the summer, the student lounge changed its look as well as the products it carries in preparation for the 2007-2008 school year.

In addition to the fruit smoothies, coffee, candy bars and an assortment of breakfast foods previously offered, a varied selection of health-conscious foods and snacks have been added to the shelves.

Freezers and extra refrigerators were also added to the side-wall of the lounge, stocking frozen dinners and vegetarian- and vegan-friendly options as well as soft drinks, energy drinks, sports drinks and vitamin-infused waters. A mini-bar houses additional microwaves for student use as well as plastic cutlery, napkins and condiments.

Students can buy snack-food like chips, cookies, candy bars and Pop-Tarts or purchase more filling options like salads, sandwiches, cereal and single-serving soups.

Aside from food, the student lounge now offers items like over-the-counter medicine, plastic dinnerware, cleaning supplies and toiletries.

A cashier station was added to help alleviate line congestion problems which resulted from students paying for items in the same line as students ordering coffee and smoothies.

In addition to its new look, the lounge has changed its hours of operation to include Saturdays.
